I'm sorry for being gone so long. The time is just flying by and I can't keep up. I visited my girlfriend Marilyn a week ago last Thursday and on our way back from lunch we were in a car crash. Her sister was driving and they were in front and I was in the back on the drivers side.  A young man of 16 turned right into us on the drivers side at a pretty good rate of speed. He was coming up to the intersection to turn and didn't understand he needed an arrow to turn. Why he didn't see us I don't know. Marilyn and her sister really took the brunt of the seatbelts but they kept them from going through the windshield. My left leg was shoved up under the back of the front seat. I later found I had seatbelt bruises on my left shoulder, right breast and both hipbones! It didn't seem so bad at the time but my leg has been throbbing even though the bruises are somewhat gone. I still have a huge lump on my leg. It took away my mojo not only for cards but doing much.

I hope all the people in the path of the wind and snow are safe. We have had wind of 60-65 miles per hour for several days. The house just creaks and shakes. Molly's ears just flap and she blinks the whole time she is outside. It's a wonder she hasn't left the ground! We haven't had snow though.

I was sorry not to participate in Darnell's boo boo challenge. If I had been making cards I sure would have had cards to enter! I will start saving them for next year. I was invited to Easter dinner by my sons sister in law so I made a card yesterday to thank them. I have been viewing videos and there are several techniques I am ready to try so maybe I am getting back in the groove. The card was made by white embossing this older stamp by All Night Media called Many Thanks. I've had it for a long, long time and just love it. I sponged some DI over it and added some Doodlebug shape sprinkles. I used plaid paper from Lawn Fawn.  Be kind to one another.

Edited to add: Greta told me about the http://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/ about using older rubber stamps. I believe this stamp is at least seven years old. I bought it well before  I retired and that was five years ago.

Oh Brenda how awful for you all. I do hope you're all recovering now. Maybe a good idea to get your leg checked out though if it's still throbbing. Pretty thank you card you've made. I'm sure your mojo bell be back soon. Hugs x

Oh gosh, Brenda, I hope you are feeling much better. I've been a passenger twice in accidents and the seatbelt bruises are horrible. I'm so glad you weren't hurt worse. If your leg doesn't quit hurting, you should get it checked just in case. We had the strong winds down here, too...lots of branches and twigs everywhere. So glad no snow!! Your card is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the colors!! Feel better...thinking of you my friend. Big hugs :)

I'm sorry to hear you were in an accident. I hope you went to the doctor to get checked out. I imagine you will be sore and bruised for days. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt. You just never know, do you? I hope the young man wasn't texting while he was driving. The colors in your card are so pretty and I love the plaid. Hugs, my friend. Hope you feel better soon.

Welcome back to making cards, Brenda! Your card is really pretty! I love your sponging and the happy spring colors you used! I hope you are also feeling a bit better and that you go and see the doctor about that bump if it's still there. Kevin had one of those hematomas and it turned out to be a blood clot, so its better to have it looked at. (Yes, mother.) I also hope the weather and winds calm down there! Hugs, Darnell

I hear you about the missing MJ. Probably good you had a little rest after the accident anyway. The card is lovely, with the colors you've used. It looks so pretty with the wonderful plaid, and your resist came out just perfect. TFS & Hugs.

Here I am, way behind in commenting again Brenda. I'm so sorry that you ladies were in a auto crash! I hope you were checked out at the hospital Brenda, you don't know what injuries you could have internally. Sounds like you all were roughed up pretty good and that's not good! Get that leg checked out my friend. I hear you about the missing mojo, I haven't had much of any either. I don't know about you, but I've just had a hard time finding my way period. I can't seem to find a new normal and don't even want to get out of bed but of course I do. The only time I feel more normal is when I have some of the grands here. I hear you about those winds too! I thought for sure the house was going to blow away. Pockets didn't even want to go out in it to potty, I'd have to make her. We didn't get any snow either, just some flurries here and there thank goodness. But I think spring has sprung now and it seems like it is here to stay now. I didn't participate either in Darnell's boo boo hop. Saving my boo boos for next year! lol Or should I say I'm documenting my boo boo's for next year. Your thank you card is so beautiful! I love the papers you used and I am loving the thank you sentiments too. Your inking is so pretty Brenda! Hugs, Brenda
