My second post in one day! Mary of http://carolinacardsbymaryh.blogspot.com/ challenged me to make a card like the one Jennifer McGuire made Sunday. I didn't have the exact color of ink she used but I came as close as I could. Mary also made one and hers is just gorgeous. I also added some teeny strips of cardstock to my background card from this morning but it did not improve the card - it made it show more how crooked it is. Mary gave me a hint on a good paper trimmer to use. I've never had one that cut straight. We are meeting each other on Saturday and I can't wait to meet her. Be kind to one another.

Oh this is just Fabulous! I like yours much better than mine. The embossing vs. the debossing really made all the difference in the look too. Love the way you did the sentiment, and the inks you chose were just so right together. Great job & I'm so glad you did this. Big hugs
Forgot to say, I do like the added stripes..and I think it looks fine. What about trying a black strip? But it really does look very nice.
Did you weave the papers? Very pretty card and I like the way you inked it. Funny, the toilet stamp :) Tomorrow is my second eye surgery...glad when it is over.
Fabby technique-you made lovely cards today Brenda!
How lovely that you and Mary are going to meet up-don't forget to take your cameras!

Oh - HUGE squeals from across The Pond - do be sure to hug one another from me!! Two of my favourite blogging friends meeting up - how lovely. And Parsnip of course :) He likes sending hugs :)
LOVE your cards Brenda, the top one is amazing - is it an embossing folder? And there's absolutely nuffin' amiss with the second one - like so many of use you're too hard on yourself!
Love and hugs, hope you have a wonderful time with Mary! I'm so envious.

I love the one that looks like weaving. Beautiful colors....it is quite stunning! Have fun with Mary.
Your card is fabulous - love the colours and embossing. What fun that you are meeting up with a blogs friend. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.
There's my beautiful card I got in the mail!! You got such a beautiful picture of it Brenda, but it still doesn't do it justice like seeing it in person! I love it so much. The toilet card cracks me up. Love the stripped paper too. I find that a rotary trimmer cuts much straighter than the other cutters. This is the one I'm getting for using at my desk. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00007E7M4/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1930AHTQT6869&coliid=I317OYGRII771E
I have a big cutter that cuts really nice, but I don't use it at my desk a lot, only when I want to cut a lot of card bases and such. The reviews on the above cutter are really good, Carl cutters are very good cutters too. Hugs, Brenda
I loved the Jennifer McGuire video & need to post the card I made--yours is gorgeous, Brenda! What's the good paper trimmer?--I could use one!
