I just wanted to make a quick update here. The patio is finished and cured. The stove is installed. And guess what I received in the mail??? The DD 214!! I called the gal I spoke to last month and thanked her for following through. Now to deal with the VA. I'm hoping that will be much easier now.  Hubby has taken another downward slope. He is very confused and is forgetting to eat breakfast now. This is our second downward stage this year. Before when he has had one it lasted for at least a year or more. So to have two so close together is alarming. I've been really busy with the house, the dog and just life in general. Tomorrow our son is coming to spend the day with hubby so my sister in law and I can go to Cincinnati to Stampaway. That is my one trip each year that gets me away for the day doing something I love. We usually stop by Ikea since it is on the way. The two youngest grandkids are coming tonight to spend the night and our other son will come in the morning to get them since I will be leaving.  I am taking the Online Card Class Stretch Your Stamps but I haven't had time to make one card from it. I love to do the cards for each class and this is making me sad but it can't be helped.  I don't have any cards for you this time but I hope to be back in the swing of it soon, especially since the class. I'm sharing pictures of my stamping helper. She sleeps right on her pillow every day that I'm in here and snores to keep me company.

Please help me welcome a new follower to my blog. She is Liz of http://crafty-lizc.blogspot.com/ in the UK. She has just learned to add a follower button (which took me forever to do too) and makes some really nice cards so I hope you can visit her.

I can really feel for you with your husband's illness. Mine has bipolar paranoid scitzsophrania (sp) and every now and then that pops into the rational. Hard to deal with sometimes cause things done and said are not the normal.

I have not been doing a lot of cards either cause his illness causes me to be bummed out a bit.

Sounds like things around you, new patio, stove, trip with SIL to stampaway are just what the Doctor ordered for you to keep your sanity in check....count them blessings from God.

I have a stamping pal too, my dog Kylie sits with me while I make cards too. Well this cards4ubylouise commenting under Anonymous, for some reason my comments don't show up....have a good weekend.

Oh my dear girl Brenda - I had no idea you had such stress in your life with your hubby. So hard to work with and around - I'm only glad you're having your little breakout.

LOVE your diggie - a new pal for us in the Playground?! :)

Love and hugs, stay strong,

Di xx

Brenda, so sorry to hear about the downslide of your husbands mental health...glad to hear you can get away for a day and son can be there to care for and see first hand what you do each day. Love your puppy, we had a beagle for 17 years! Our first dog when we were married...such a stinker he was, but so darn cute! Take care.

Hi Brenda,This post gave me joy. I know how you've struggled with this form issue, so I'm thankful to hear about the success so far. The other part was not so cheerful, but hopefully things will slow down again, & no new downswings. Also a fervent hope that the VA won't put more frustration on you too! Molly is a sweetie and thanks for sharing her with us. I can just imagine your sigh of relief to have some of your remodeling work all completed. Yay for you in having time now to do some cards. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you learned in this last class - - which I gave a miss this time. Happy Wednesday. Hugs & TFS

Oh I'm so glad to hear that you got somewhere with this issue, I hope the rest goes much easier for you. I'm sorry to hear that hubby is not doing well and that he has had two spells already. It has to be very hard for you. I am thankful that your son is coming down to be with his dad so you can get away to the stampaway. I hope you have lots of fun!!! Sounds like another fun class that I will need to check out. DS leaves this Saturday so I plan on getting into some classes to keep my mind from missing him so much. lol I love seeing pics of Molly keeping you company in your crafty space. Our dog keeps me company too with her snoring! lol Sounds like Molly and my dog have much in common. Hugs, Brenda

Lots of turns on the roller coaster catching up, Brenda. I'm delighted to see your adorable stamping buddy! TFS! And I'm really delighted that you got your DD 214 and your patio is done!! But I'm very sorry to hear that your Mister has slipped again. I hope he stabilizes for two years now! Bless you! Hugs, Darnell
