We have been running and trying to make decisions and I've been out of the loop here. Last week I had just mentioned to my sister in law that it would be nice to live closer to our sons. That same evening my son called and said he and his wife had been talking and said it would be nice if we lived closer! Then the very next day a neighbor and I were talking and she said there was a waiting list to live here where we are! If that weren't enough, today at noon a real estate agent knocked on our door and wanted to know if we were interested in moving soon. She has someone that wants to live in our addition. We looked at several condos closer to our son but they are about 24 years old (ours is 8) they have electric heat (we have gas that we like), they are vinyl siding (ours is brick) and so on. We like where we are and who knows if the boys will stay where they are. But it has been an interesting week and it wore me out! The thought of packing up and moving stresses me out. I don't want to do that again. I did make a card for our son's first anniversary. Just a simple card that I used Stampin Up Magic Mesh on and the flowers are die cut. Easy and quick but I hope they like it. Anyone remember magic mesh? I had forgotten I had it and have never used it. Another NBUS. I'll put it on www.djkardkreations.com blog too. Be kind to one another.

  1. A happy card for a happy occasion! I never heard about "mesh"...looks like it gives nice texture! Moving is stressful, glad that you can put off for a little more time!

  2. This is very pretty Brenda, I've not heard of the mesh but it looks very effective. How wonderful that you're part of a close and loving family, it would be difficult to leave a place that suits you so well. Hopefully lots of visits will be a happy compromise to moving, Cathy x

  3. They'll love it, Brenda! I think it's very pretty and it has tons of texture and dimension! Oh, yes, I remember mesh and still have a bunch of that, too! I like it on a card! Thank you for linking up with my NBUS Challenge again!

That is a bit spooky about all that stuff that was happening. Talk about putting something "out in the universe!" It seems like that's what happened here, doesn't it?! It's good to put the brakes on sometimes, however, and not just be picked up in the current of a thing and think it through thoroughly like you are good at doing. You're right to consider that your son might move, for instance. It'll all work out. Which reminds me: I hope you got everything straightened out with the VA.

    Hugs, Darnell

  4. Hey Brenda, what a pretty card, and Magic Mesh is unknown to me. But it sure made up a very stunning card. I hear you about moving closer to the kids. My DH wants to return to Fla for that reason. You don't know where their jobs will take them. If you're where you like it, you have good neighbors, well...a hard decision. Again, you have issues that your kids will be more likely to help out. You'll just have to do a lot of praying and asking for the right guidance. Good luck. Also hope the VA issues are getting somewhat resolved for you. You surely don't need all the stress (and yes, packing up to move is stressful! Even once you've made decisions!). Lots of hugs & TFS

  5. OMGosh I had forgotten all about Magic Mesh Brenda! Now we are dating ourselves. lol I used it when I scrapbook in the very beginning, the 90's. I didn't know SU had Magic Mesh either. Your card is beautiful and I know they will love it!! I love the little flowers and of course the Magic Mesh. Brenda I have to say that moving stresses me out too. I hate to move, I hate giving up my roots, so I am like you and would stay put. But that is just me. I moved all over as a child and now that I've got roots with hubby, I ain't goin' nowhere!! lol Hugs, Brenda

  6. Sweet card, Brenda! I have 1 roll of mesh which I've never used, but maybe now I will! I can't stand to think of moving, either, but my hubby would really like to get out of the city even though we're just in a small town. We'll see what happens.
