We had such a fun weekend. Our family celebrated our Sept. birthdays at our house Saturday. We did miss our oldest grandson who is now in college. Can't believe he is that old already Time really does fly.  Both son and daughter in law liked their cards. Even our son went on about his nautical card. I am posting last years birthday card for our younger son. I stamped that on canvas and wish I had colored darker but it was my first time on canvas and I didn't want to mess it up. Then Sunday football and our Colts won.  Simple dinner of leftovers from Saturday. Love those meals. Fall is here! Chilly mornings and evenings and warm days. Love it.

I am not good with ribbon and twine. It's either too loose like this or so tight the card bends! I'm so bad with getting things straight that I've decided my eyes are on my face crooked.  Be kind to each other.

Very nice card! I have never try canvas...gee! So much to learn but all so fun! Thanks fro sharing your ideas. I actually like how you bakers twine looks like that. Is all in the eye of the beholder. I dont think it HAS to be a certain way, just the way you like it! Tada!!
Blessings!

Oh this is lovely! I'm very fond of nautical cards, and I LOVE the idea of using canvas instead of paper. Beautifully done! x

Hi Brenda, I came from Darnell's blog. You are doing a great job with your blog. The nautical themed card is fantastic. After years of stamping, my colouring leaves a lot to be desired. Keep up the blogging and you soon will have lots of followers.
Stamping hugs,
Jackie (aka stamping grandma)

Hi Brenda...I also found your blog through Darnell's blog. Really like this card! And welcome to blog land. Let me warn you....It's addicting! I'm blogging for four years now...and I'm still learning. I'm not too computer literate...but I found you learn as you go along, and many other bloggers have come to my rescue when I needed help..Happy Blogging to you...

Loved this card, and I"ve never stamped on canvas. It looks great to me, and I think the subtle colors are very effective agains the canvas. Ditto for your twine. I have trouble with my cards looking 'bent' at times too, but I'm also a lousy photographer! I see so many arrived from Darnell's blog, but I happened to catch your post at Mrs. A, so zipped over. It's nice to see some of our other 'blog friends' have found you. You'll be in good company...maybe we'll see you at Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground, where you will find lots of friendly, helpful - not to mention - oh so talented card makers - who will make you feel very at home.
