Sympathy

I needed a sympathy card and that is one that cannot wait. This is the first card I've made since last month. It is so hard to get back into making them after you've been away. I hope this kick starts me. I wish I could send a sympathy card to every single person in the California fires. My heart hurts for all of them.

I used the Memory Box pinpoint leaf plate for the background and die cut the Poppystamps lorelai outline leaf from gold cardstock. The sentiment is Penny Black embossed in gold and cut with a Poppystamps die, then popped up with dimensionals. Now, it's getting it to the mailbox in this below zero windchill weather!

Golf - a game for those who don't get enough frustration during the week.

Be kind to one another.

A beautiful sympathy card, Brenda. I love the subtle pattern on the background and the simple die cut.
We get daily reports on our news about the wildfires in California. Thinking of all those affected by the devastation.

That is my idea of a perfect sympathy card - I like them to be quite plain and very classy. Yours is perfect and could be given to anyone.

Lovely elegant card. I think simple is the way to go for sympathy cards. I think we are due for a couple of days of warmer weather. Hopefully it will melt some of the snow.

Hi Brenda, a lovely sympathy card, love the pinpoint background with the lorelai diecut in gold. The fires seem especially devastating as it is in your winter, while we have had few fires here in our summer, this year we have had storms which have caused fires from lightening strikes. Have a wonderful week... Megan

So true about how hard it is to bounce back and get into a routine. I love your first card back, even though I'm sad you need a sympathy card. It's a pretty design that would be great for any occasion, especially with metallics and it's going right into my to-CASE folder! Hugs, Darnell
