Another oldie with new products

Here is another combination card with old and new mixed together. I'm trying not to buy all the new things.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder with black cardstock for this panel and then went over it with Foundry Wax using my finger. Then I decided I wanted to add numbers and after looking through my dies, I discovered I don't have number dies. So, I put the card on hold and ordered number dies from Concord & 9. I cut them from gold cardstock and added them to a small black panel. So much for not buying anything new! This is a card for my grandson who will be 29 next month. What?

Mix a four leaf clover with poison ivy and you'll have a rash of good luck.

Be kind to one another.

This is fabulous with that metallic vintage look and it's perfect for your grandson! I love this older ef and all the great birthday cards you can make from it! I think I'll pass on the rash of good luck though LOL

The aged effect from the wax looks awesome for a masculine birthday card! Your grandson will love it.
I have the same problem telling myself not to buy more and then… 🫣😂

This was one of my first embossing folders, I loved it then and I still love it today! I love how you highlighted the embossing with your foundry wax Brenda and I love that you added the age of your grandson on the card. I think there will always be products that we just can't live without. LOL I don't buy a lot, but every once in a while....well the heart wants what the heart wants with crafty supplies! So get it and enjoy it. I mean what else do we have to look forward to?! Yikes, a rash of good luck....that is luck I can do without! LOL Great joke Brenda! Hugs, Brenda

Super card Brenda, the wax over the embossing is very effective. I used my number dies this week and realised that I've lost the number 5. Hopefully I won't need to make any cards with a 5 on the end, or I might be have to buy another set. 🤣 xx

I love how you've gilded this embossing, Brenda! I hear you about needing to order! It happens here a lot, especially when I vow not to shop! I don't know about the 4 leaf clover but I am very familiar with the rash!

Another great joke, Brenda, but I will pass on that rash of good luck! Your metallic birthday card is very masculine and I love the addition of your new numbers! (Grandchildren shouldn't be allowed to grow up!) Hugs, Darnell

Another witticism to make me smile, and another great card, love the waxed highlights. I have also tried to stop buying, but there’s always something I need…….it’s like food 😂😃😃xxx

Love the wax over the black cs and embossing folder!! It's a good thing you were making the card far enough in advance that you could order the number dies - I'm usually so last minute that I couldn't do that!

Oh, I love the look of this and it'll be perfect for a guy too. I have that embossing folder and always forget about using it. Thanks for the inspiration.
