Since I have been such a slug about getting things done lately, I am still posting Valentines. I did get a few out in the mail and think they got there on time. This is an old technique I used but it still works. I sponged a panel with two colors using blending brushes. Then ran the panel through an embossing folder. To highlight the words I sanded over the panel, then added a die cut love covered in glossy accents.
Kleptomaniacs always take things seriously.

I love that idea of blending color and then embossing. Pretty card,
This is simply wonderful! I love the dual colors and the sanding brings everything in focus! Every day should be Valentine's day!!
Beautiful card Brenda, a very effective technique. xx
A brilliant background and the embossing stands out beautifully, Brenda! Love the shiny love on top!
Great color combo & beautiful card, Brenda!
Very pretty and I love that technique. You used such beautiful colors for it too. LOVE!

Same here Brenda, not sure if my cards arrived on time or not, but only got a few out. I love your card, the colors are so pretty together and the black just makes those colors pop even more. I remember when we embossed and sanded all the time. I haven't done it in so long, need to do it again. Your card is fabulous and I love it! Hugs, Brenda

LOVE the gorgeous colours of your blended background, Brenda. So pretty the embossing and sanding ... something I have only done on foil card stock. Need to give it a try on regular card stock!! Beautifully finished with the glossy LOVE die-cut sentiment. xx
I love these colors together, Brenda, especially with the black card base and shiny black sediment! It's a perfect Valentine e/f to sand in order to pop out the words. Great funny! Hugs, Darnell
beautiful colour combo and love how the sanding makes the words pop ♥
