This card is actually for this past Christmas. My grandson wasn't here for Christmas so this is the card I made for him. We will be having a party when he gets home to celebrate his becoming a Marine and to celebrate Christmas.
A very simple card using card stock and a button die cut from mirror card stock.
Retirement - the money is pathetic but the hours are great.

This is so fun, Brenda. I bet your grandson loved getting this card in the mail. Retirement hours are THE BEST! :) xx
Great card for your grandson! I hope everything is going well for him! Our three nephews are Marines---the oldest is a C-130 pilot, the middle one flies fighter jets, and the youngest is currently at Quantico for basic training.
What a fun Christmas card, Brenda! I love those golden buttons and buckle! I know you are all looking forward to having your Marine home!
The retirement comment made me smile! So true!
Great card!
That is a cute card. I'd call this a grown up Santa card. It is good to see your grandson again. I can relate to the retirement comment!
Awesome! So simple and perfect for the occasion! Have fun partying when he gets home.
What a fun Christmas card for your grandson, Brenda. The buckle and buttons look great in the shiny gold! That will be a great party when he comes home! Hugs, Darnell
This is a great card for your grandson Brenda! I always love the Santa suit on cards or tags. They are always so fun. Sounds like your grandson will be coming home soon??? I hope anyway, I know you will love celebrating Christmas with him!!! Now will he go foreword for more training? My son did his basic training then the day after basic graduation, he had to report to AIT training. Advance Individualized Training. Anyway, enjoy having him home even if it is only for a little while!!! Hugs, Brenda
A fun Santa card, Brenda! Love the gold accents!
Great Santa card and love the gold buttons- reminds me I think I have some button dies :)
What a cute and fun card! I think I'd use this for a gift card enclosure! Love the gold buckle and buttons too! I agree 100% with the retirement too! LOL
Just love this card, Brenda! How wonderful that he will get Christmas & a congratulations celebration! I have button dies I've never used & will remember that gold metallic cardstock is a good option!
