I'm working on my goal of watercoloring. This stamp is Penny Black and I used my Sakura watercolors.
I was able to get a bit of shading in but the flower image is kind of small. The leaves were a little better to add shading to. I'm not as afraid to try it now. I had to anchor down the corner so it would lay flat to get a picture.
Well done, Brenda! Watercoloring is another thing that definitely gets better with practice and as you get better, you get more confident, and that makes you better still, so one could say you've got it now, girl! Just keep on rolling! That's a beautiful floral image. I can see the definition in the flower, but it really shows up great in the leaves! I hope the bitter cold won't be as bad as they are forecasting for this weekend. Sending hot hugs, Darnell
I'm so glad you are becoming more confident of your watercoloring, Brenda! You've got it now and the more you do, the better you'll like it! Love the soft apricot color of this flower and the shading of the leaves! Stay warm and cozy, my friend!
You did a great job. I love the pretty card you water colored. I should try more of that too but there is only so many hours in the day it seems and mainly I am doing more quick projects as needed.
Pretty watercoloring, Brenda! It's so fun to hear you are gaining confidence. That's half the battle with anything, isn't it? We got over a foot of snow yesterday, so this bright flower is a ray of sunshine!
This is so pretty Brenda...that is funny about your corner, I use a piece of painters tape, roll it up and put it inside to keep the card flat!! You are doing really well with adding depth to your coloring!
Beautiful card Brenda. Your watercolouring is amazing ... love the gold embossing. We are on the same wavelength. Just finished a card using this same image --- will be on my blog Feb. 15th. :) xx
What a pretty card Brenda and your watercoloring looks great! You did have a small image, so I'm in awe that you got the shading in! Great job! Keep practicing because your practice is sure paying off. Hugs, Brenda
Your water colored flower looks so pretty and the gold embossing makes it even prettier! Good for you staying inside the lines with watercolors - something I can't seem to do well at all!

Very pretty coloring. I need to practice a lot. I always color our of the lines.
This makes for a beautiful card - love the embossing. Right now I am obsessed with metallic watercolor paints.
