Ten Days

It's only ten more days till Christmas. My gosh this year has gone by so fast. You would think just staying home for the whole year that the year would just drag by but it hasn't. I just talked to my son and we are not going to get together for Christmas. After being so good all year, we decided a few more months wouldn't hurt to stay apart. But, I sure do miss everyone, especially my new great granddaughter. She is growing in leaps and bounds.

This card is made with a Spellbinders poinsettia die and embossed with TH embossing glaze. I kept seeing such gorgeous cards that had been embossed with it on Christine's blog https://itsacarddaysnight.blogspot.com/. I ordered several colors and I am thrilled with how it makes the die cuts look. It gives a different look than clear embossing powder.

Be kind to one another.

Glaze looks lovely and i can see the shimmer on the leaves. We won't be seeing anyone this christmas which is the norm for us but we would normally have seen our kids back in November and had a pre christmas with them but not this year. We have self isolated since March so a few more months will be no hardship. We have all come so far down the road to mess it all up now. I just wish the younger generation had the same ethos. All we can do is to try and stay safe, warm and well. Hugs Mrs A.

Your poinsettia is gorgeous. Perfect shiny effect of the bloom. I think we all have to wait few more days for the vaccine and than we can hug our loved once without fear. :-)
Stay safe! Hugs, Sonja

That is a gorgeous poinsettia. We too are staying home this year. We usually treat ourselves to a tropical getaway in January but looks like that is not happening either.

Good for you & your family doing the right thing to keep everyone safe, Brenda! Sure want all of us to still be here next year & not be like so many families mourning deaths from Covid. We're doing the same. I adore this classy, classic card, Brenda! Having indulged in that new product, so maybe I need to come try yours out when we're all vaccinated!

Oooh, boy, Brenda, this is an Enabling Post if I've ever read one! The second time in two days that I've seen that particular poinsettia and it's calling my name, even though I have eleventeen other ones. Sigh! It's a gorgeous gorgeous Christmas card! (Remind me to ask about the glaze when we talk.) You know I'm with you a hunnert percent on keeping isolated through the holidays so we can be here for the next ones! Thank goodness we have each other and Zooming and candy and card-making to keep us in, quiet, and sane!! Love, Darnell
