Sparkly pumpkin

This Lawn Fawn die was a gift for my birthday from my friend, Kara.  There are actually two dies but I only used one. I die cut it from a very old DCWV paper pad of sparkly paper and matted it on Halloween pattern paper. Don't know it's name. I let the paper talk but I just had to add those orange embellishments from The Robin's Nest. These are old too that I have in my stash.

A new adventure yesterday. My friend, Sharon, and I went to the racetrack. It's just like on TV and very exciting to be there in person. We stayed for six races and had lunch there. The horses are beautiful and the jockeys are so little. Two of my horses won and several came in second or third. What a fun experience but it only goes one more week then it's over for the year. My horse below had odds of 30-1 and he won his race. How cool is that!

Be kind to one another.

Super card, Brenda. The pumpkin is a beautiful die cut and the backing paper is just perfect. Brilliant idea to add the embellishments for the 'oo'. Thanks for sharing your photos at the races, sounds like you had a great time. xx

What a fab pumpkin. Love that design paper and as you say it does all the talking. We went to a race track once in
Italy. They have the horses with the carts-they sit on. We placed bets but none of ours won but it was fun watching. Hugs Mrs A.

What a cute card Brenda. I love that pumpkin and the stitching on it. Your background paper is perfect and does all the work for you. Love your "skittles" you used. That's what we called them in the 90's. lol I have a ton of them in different colors. I need to start using them again. How fun to go to the race track. Dwayne and I went when we were in Kentucky, but think his cousin took us across the state line into Ohio to the races. My horse won too, I picked by looking at the horses as they brought them by for you to see them. They are beautiful aren't they?! The jockey's are very little for sure. Glad you girls had a great time! Hugs, Brenda

Gosh I hope you bet at least $20 on that horse, Brenda! Very cool. Been to dog races, but have never watched the ponies in person. Sounds like fun! Your card IS pure fun! All that sparkle on your pumpkin with that little pop of green vining, and the Halloween paper behind is the perfect way to highlight today! So cute! Happy Halloween. xo Bev

Your sparkly pumpkin looks wonderful on that dp! I love the little orange embellishments! I've never been to a horse race before. I bet it was a lot of fun! Just taking a short break between car loads of moving stuff from Mom's apartment. We have a thick blanket of snow that doesn't want to go away! I miss you!

Haven't been to a horse race in many years, but I do remember loving seeing the horses. You had incredibly good luck! Hi to Sharon from me--wish I could have been with you guys. You've reminded me that you let me cut some of those pumpkins & I need to make them into cards! Love all the sparkle & the pretty script background paper!

It's amazing to me how much your track looks like our track here ... right down to the houses across from the grandstand! Wish I could have been there with you and Sharon!! Hugs, Darnell
