Revised weather

It turns out there were two tornadoes that touched down in Beech Grove instead of straight line winds. Our state had several touchdowns but everyone is okay. There is flooding in the southern part of the state. Thanks for everyone who checked on me.

If this rest has taught me anything, it is I spend too much time online. Not being on the computer so much has given me time to play in the challenges I like. The Twofer is my last one this month and I am going to take it easy now.

I was really fretting about the bees in the Twofer this month. All of the cards on the challenge are so cute and fun. I have a couple of bees in stamp sets but they are tiny. The I remembered this metal stencil from 1997 called Bumble Bee by Lasting Impressions. On my first card I used a pen through the stencil and yellow and black Copics.. The black and white paper is from Graphic 45 and I sponged over it with Wild Honey Oxide ink to make it look honeycombish. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn. Then I was stumped. I wanted to use this adorable La-La Land bumble bee Marci stamp. I stamped her and colored with Copics, then stenciled the bees around her. This was a lot of typing so I'm off again. See you soon.

Be kind to one another.

Thank you for commenting on the tornadoes, Brenda. I was getting worried. And thank you for playing in this month's Twofer Card Challenge, but I don't want you to hurt yourself doing it! Having said that, your cards are really fantastic! I had to click to enlarge to find the bees on your little cutiebee girlie ... very clever! And your second design is a perfect hello card! Genius to sponge over the pp and make it look honeycombish! I hope the weather has passed now and you have several days of lovely sunshine to dry up the flooding! Hugs, Darnell

Well, Brenda--once again you nailed it! What fabulous cards you came up with for the challenge! So glad you weren't hurt by the storm. Guess the damage makes more sense with it being tornadoes, although straight line winds can be pretty bad, too. Lots of flooding in the country this year, but certainly not around here with all our hot, sunny days. Hoping for some cooler temps this week.

You found a wonderful bee to use and a creative way to use him, my friend! I'm glad you can spend some time creating but don't overdo it. I hope you're feeling some relief now and not looking ahead to surgery.

You'll never guess where we were camping this weekend, Brenda...Turkey Run State Park! Boy, that rain just wouldn't let up! We were going to stay through Monday, but came home on Sunday. We still got to hike, but it poured the whole time. At least we have a pop-up, and not a tent. We say, if you ever need rain, just send the Pogrebas out camping. Now, where were we? Twofer! Your bee stencil is darling, and I love how you used it differently on your two cards. That little La La Land girl is adorable, and of course she would attract those sweet bees, but never fear, I think she is a bee charmer! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge - now go rest those wrists!
