I have survived  the heat by staying in this weekend and it has cooled off a bit today. Had two pop up rainstorms this morning that were quick but watered the flowers. I'm glad for the reprieve so I can run a few errands.

I received a fun package from my friend, Mia, in the mail. I loved the silver corners she sent in my win so she popped a few more to me in a lovely hand made coin purse. The silver ones are gorgeous but those copper filigree ones are so beautiful. The coin purse will be one I carry because it is big enough to actually get something in. Thanks, Mia.

Today's card was made with a napkin. I used my Zig two way thick point glue pen over a piece of cardstock then smoothed the cut napkin over it. I peeled the backing sheet off of it first. I love how easy it was to do and if I hadn't smeared the ink before it dried on the greeting I would have been much happier. This was so fun and so easy and you know how many napkin choices there are out there. You could become addicted. There's probably an app for that. Be kind to one another and happy July. Can't believe the year is half over.

Those are beautiful--sweet Mia! Gorgeous napkin card--didn't know it would work with the Zig pen! I have a bunch of napkins from the early 80s when we decoupaged them onto candles. Your card is wonderful, Brenda! I didn't get motivated to make my 4th of July cards this year, so only sent 3. Hopefully next year will be different. Glad you had a little break from the heatwave!

What a sweet and useful gift the coin purse and corners are! They must be stunning IRL! Your napkin 4th of July card is spectacular, Brenda! I never would have guessed that was from a napkin!! Stay cool and dry! We are fine here. Just getting smoke, but no fire. Happy 4th! Hugs, Darnell

Mia is a sweet friend, Brenda! The corners are gorgeous, and the little purse is so adorable. What a lovely package to receive in the mail.

I was just looking at some napkins in my cupboard the other day and thought they'd make great cards. And then I see your post ... this is awesome! LOVE it! xx

Congratulations on a fun win. You got some good stuff! Love this card, and would never guess you used a napkin. I have not had the greatest luck with napkins and I've some pretty ones. Made such a pretty and patriotic card too. TFS

What a cute little change purse Brenda! I love those photo corners as well, so pretty and ornate. That is a napkin?!! OMGosh, I really need to start keeping some pretty napkins and trying this out. You only put some two way glue down and then smoothed the napkin on then?! Wow, love the look, love that napkin and love the card! Hugs, Brenda
