I think I misled you about the video. The link I posted was to make the iris. Here is one for the string.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U02XHkyurrc&t=222s. This is Lydia of Understand Blue. If you search for "Stamping with string" a lot of videos come up for that technique.

When I saw the word for the Twofer Card Challenge  was trees yesterday I was so happy because I have tree stamps! I put everything else away and got busy. I did the fish card yesterday and finished the tree card today. I actually thought outside the fish bowl. The tree stamp is from 1999 and is a PSX wood mount stamp.  I embossed it with clear embossing powder over a sponged background of Distress Oxide inks and added Kaiser Craft black pearls. The sentiment is Stampin Up.

The fish, fish bowl and sentiment are Simon Says Stamp. So is the stencil but DUH! you don't generally have waves in a fishbowl which I didn't realize until I was taking pictures of the cards. It seemed like such a good idea at the time. They were made by sponging Distress Oxide ink over the stencil. I used the top of the tree to make the seaweed on the bottom of the bowl and a glitter pen to add shine to the fish in the bowl. Be kind to one another.

Brenda, this is absolutely brilliant! I love the tree card and it's so peaceful looking and beautiful. The fist bowl and using the tree for the seaweed is just so creative and yes....brilliant! Wish I could think of things like that!!! I love the waves too. Think of it as wavy water in a bowl! LOVE your cards.

Two super tree cards and you'd certainly have waves in the fish bowl if the cat had his paw dipped in there!! Hugs Mrs A.
P.s. Thanks for the second link.

Fabulous cards, Brenda and such a clever idea for using part of the tree stamp for the seaweed! The stencilling is perfect, it shows the ripples in the water made by the fish swimming around. xx

OMG, you certainly did think outside the 'fish bowl'! LOL I just love your sense of humor!! You made two absolutely fantastic cards with that one tree stamp. To have the top of the tree be all the seaweed at the bottom is pure genius!! These are winners for sure!! Oh and I LOVE your string art pictures in the previous post... those are awesome!! Heart Hugs, Friend!! col

Good for you at joining the 2fer. You've been so good at keeping up! Love your idea of using the tree tops as seaweed or coral in the sea, and that fish set with the fish bowl was perfect. I think the waves are nice, and fish do make waves in a fishbowl! Might have this tree stamp, and you certainly did fabulous looks with it. PSX stamps always give such a crisp look. Well done! TFS & Hugs

First off Brenda, that tree is gorgeous! Secondly, wow! You got really creative! I love the serene feeling in your tree card, but your second card really blows me away. I love the tree top used as coral or seaweed in your fish bowl. I love the waves in it too. Fish can cause waves in a fish bowl, so you did good adding the waves. I love it! I'm going to have to look through my trees stamps or dies and see if I can "see" anything in them. lol Hugs, Brenda

How fun, Brenda! I don't even know where to start! Let's start with the conventional tree, which BTW, I love! You did an awesome job of blending your background of ground and sky to make that majestic tree the rock star it is! And then, seriously, how genius are you to think of only using the tippy top of the tree for the flora in your adorable fish bowl?!!! What a super fun birthday card! The waves just add a lot of interest and, besides, you can too get waves in a fish bowl, Why just think if Molly were to jump up on the chair (you know, the one with wheels) which sends it careening across the floor and straight into the large hutch where the fishbowl is sitting minding its own business. Just saying. Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #6! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

Two super cards Brenda, such a brilliant idea to use a tree stamp to create seaweed - I think the waves look fine, they symbolise water.

These Twofers are fantastic. I just love both and you were so creative to use part of the tree for the foliage in the fish bowl. I love these. These surely are in the running for getting in the winning side.

Believe it or not but I also have that tree stamp and still love it! Adore the cards you made with it! It looks so majestic in the simple, sponged landscape! And how genius to use it in a fish bowl - I'll have to remember that! Maybe the waves happened because the house is close to train tracks and a train just went by... I think they look perfect!
Thanks so much for joining us at the Twofer!

Your twofer is wonderful, Brenda! I love how you visualized seaweed from the branches, and the waves help represent water (we have artistic license as card artists). That is such a beautiful, large, detailed tree image! Your get well card shows it off beautifully! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

So clever to use the tree as seaweed! Both cards are gorgeous. xxx

It seems that we both thought that trees might work well in the sea as well. Love the way you've used your tree stamp to create seaweed. And I don't think there's anything wrong with waves in a fish bowl.
