This was a busy week and I ate out four of the last five days! I also returned to rehab to work out two days a week. I feel like it helped me so much that I need to continue the exercise so I started back Thursday.

I finally got to make my cards for the 5th Twofer Card Challenge cards today. The butterflies are from a sheet of pattern paper and a die from Dare 2B Artzy . I love the pattern on them. The first card has just a slit for the butterfly to slide through as you open the card. I also added vellum under the butterfly to give movement. The second card is the same butterfly mounted inside my new Tattered Lace doily edge essential squares die that came yesterday. The sentiment is from a PTI  set called Script Sentiments. I sponged some Distress Inks for a sky background. Be kind to one another.

Two beautiful butterfly cards Brenda. LOVE the patterned paper you used ... the colours and design are gorgeous. How clever to add a slit from the vellum overlay. I've never seen anything like this --- very creative. And your second card is so pretty with the lacy orange frame. Thanks for playing with us at Twofer Card Challenge!

What a great pp butterfly that is, Brenda! I've never seen a card like your first one with the slit and I think it is a genius way to make an interactive card with a butterfly! Great idea to add the vellum for more stability. Your second butterfly looks totally different and both cards show what a difference a simple change in background color can make! The orange doily edge square frames her beautifully! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #5! I'm glad you had a fun dining-out week and that you started back with the rehab! Happy Mother's Day! Hugs, Darnell

There's a wonderful funkiness about the pattern on your fabulous butterflies, Brenda ... the first is so clever, with the inside to outside design and the wonderful sense of movement from the vellum layer ... and that pretty, vibrant scalloped frame with the softly sponged sky is such a lovely spot for your second! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

Good for you at getting out to eat! And I'm so glad that you are returning to the rehab, and that you feel it's making a positive difference in how you are feeling. I'm so proud of you on this count, plus also on these lovely butterfly cards. You are certainly branching out on your card making skills. The movement on Butterfly card #1 is something I've not tried, and that is a really pretty butterfly too. Love it on both your 2fers! Good job, and Happy Mom's day. I hope you're able to be with your sweet family. TFS & Hugs

Such gorgeous butterflies, Brenda! I love the striped details. Having the wings go through the slit in the front of the card is fantastic! Your tattered lace doily frame is the perfect way to center that butterfly on your 'just because' card. Glad to hear you're getting out of the house, especially to dine. I'm still without my left arm, but as I write this, I just found a position where I can type with both hands. Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

Love these patterned butterflies! Very clever design on the first one, how the butterfly slips through the opening and can be enjoyed on the outside and inside! It's equally pretty inside the ornate frame of the second card.
Thank you for joining us at the Twofer!
