I want to welcome a new follower to my blog. She is Kara of http://karalynnecards.blogspot.ca/. She has a great blog and is a designer on the Twofer Card Challenge. I hope you have a chance to say hello.

I'm just going to put this out here. I am in a bad funk with crafting. All my energy seems to be with breathing. Three and four days a week are taken up with it. I get up, eat, shower and get ready to go to the hospital. Tues. and Thurs. for rehab, Fridays for the meetings and one Wednesday for the group. I have no desire to make a card in my off time. Right now I have six stamp sets on my desk along with three ink pads and the misti. I have stamped one design, colored with copics and don't like it. My mind just won't function in card mode. I've looked at Pinterest and I just can't do it. I want to make cards for Twofer and for Easter. I think about starting all the time, but I can't seem to do anything. I hope this will pass and soon. Another scary thing - I don't have any inclination to buy anything either. No stamps, no ink no dies. Nothing. I enjoyed going to my SU class but she did all the work and picked everything out. All I had to do was put it together. This is the fun birthday card we made in class. I love the design and the paper along with the pandas. They are so cute. I'm showing it closed and opened. All Stampin Up supplies. I'm trying to visit you but if I'm not commenting now I will try to get caught up. Be kind to one another.

  1. I'm sorry you are in a crafting funk, but it sounds like you have a pretty busy schedule right now. I'm sure your mojo will come back in time. I have days where I have no energy to do anything. Your card is adorable! You just can't go wrong with cute pandas. Hugs!

  2. Oh, my friend, I am sending hugs and prayers to you. If you don't feel like crafting, don't worry about it. You just focus on feeling better. Your card is so sweet!! I love adorable pandas!! Thinking of you, Brenda. Sending big hugs :)

  3. Oh bummer--so sorry to hear you're still exhausted. That's a lot of trips per week & lots of stuff to learn, so no surprise, really. Glad you could enjoy the SU class--such a cute card! Wish I could just come over for a visit. Thinking of you & sending big hugs, Greta

  4. I think it is not out of the ordinary that your body and mind is just concentrating on your breathing issues. When that gets to where you are not so exhausted and concerned with that your mojo will get going again. I do love your cute birthday card you made though. So very cute and a lovely layout. And, I like how you carried it over to the inside too.

  5. A super card Brenda, fun Pandas and great design.
I'm sure you will get your desire to craft back when you are less exhausted, just take care of yourself at the moment.

  6. Two super cute cards, and I especially like #1's layout. Both are just darling. I am in the same place with having my brain come up with creative ideas for some of the current challenges, and I don't have your good excuse. What you are doing for yourself just now, is so much more important than making cards (gosh, I hope that doesn't sound awful!) You have to get yourself improved with the breathing, else you still won't feel like making cards. So you just do what you must to get this breathing stuff back on track, and we'll all be here, when you are back to crafting. In the meantime, big hugs, and good luck with the therapy. TFS & Hugs

  7. My sweet friend, you do need to go a little easy on yourself and your mojo. With so much of your mojo going to just breathing and learning how to breath, it's no wonder it's tired at the end of the day - or on the days off - and it just wants to rest and regain strength for the next session. Let it go. Let Twofer go, let Easter go, and even let your March and April birthdays go. This, too, shall pass and you will get well if you breath right and bounce back to us. Truly, I think by forcing your depleted energy to make cards when it is struggling is just setting your progress back. It's not worth it!

How was that? Was that bossy enough for you?! Geesh, I am a pushy B when necessary and I know you know my little speech is delivered with lots of love!

Thank you for sharing that adorable panda card. I'm off to bed with a smile on my face!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

  8. Brenda, I'm so sorry I've not been intouch for quite a while. Sorry to read about being in a crafting funk, but also reading that you are going to hospital for rehab. I hope you are doing okay. I have always enjoyed seeing your creations and hope that you get back into the crafting mode. Your class card is adorable! Please take care. Hugs, Vickie

  9. Thank you for the lovely welcome, Brenda! Your pandas are so adorable and ready for any party! I'm sure everyone is telling you not to be too hard on yourself, but I just want to say it too. There are times when just getting through the day is the goal. It's not where you want your life to stay, but it's the season you're in right now. You know it's bad when you don't even have the desire to shop! The last thing you need is to feel bad about it. This is a hobby, not a guilt trip! Even the blogging aspect of it. There are times I've had to take a summer or even an entire year off due to family needs or a surgery, etc.

  10. Brenda I'm in the same boat. I have no desire to make cards or buy any crafty items. I don't have your breathing problems, but just no desire to get crafty or to even blog. I did have a card class for my friends, but if it wasn't because they wanted it, I wouldn't have made any Easter cards. Like you I hope this passes, but I'm not sure it will. I just feel like my life is going in a different direction now but don't know what that direction is. Your card is just adorable. I'm seeing so many cute stamps you have used and I am loving them all. Probably won't buy any at this time, but sure am loving them and how you are using them. Hang in there Brenda, I pray things look up for you soon. Hugs, Brenda
