I'm bringing back "old stuff". As I was going through my supplies to find Easter things I came across items stored in the other room. When I started this wonderful journey of scrapping and stamping I was working and felt like I had to buy things so when I retired I would have things to work with. So I did! At that time QVC had a wonderful craft day every few months and had terrific kits. Okay, to my point. I have things I purchased for scrapbooking that I don't use. I have epoxy stickers, eyelets and brads in every color, buttons, ribbons and now 84 million sequins. I also have sheets of things that look like snaps that I have never used.  Along  with stickles in every color I now have Nuvo drops in matt and sparkle. I have markers from every company that makes them and tapes and glue and refills. I forgot to mention stickers and letter stickers. My point being, I have to use these things old and new. Don't be alarmed when you see these things on my cards as I don't scrapbook anymore. I bought everything because I loved it so I want to showcase these products on my cards even if they are old. I did just that recently on a birthday card I made for a cherished friend and also used stamping and I loved the card. So I'm showing you this card today. I used an epoxy sticker frame and an old SU stamp. I hope this post makes you think of what you have put away and need to use too. Darnell's NBUS will be here soon and maybe this will prompt you to hunt up "stuff". I hope I am not alone. Be kind to one another and to those in the snow areas, be safe.

Oh great card.....nothing wrong with using "things of old". I pulled out my perfect pearls to make that distress ink and perfect pearls technique you saw the other day. It worked out great and I made a few cards using it. Perfect pearls were sitting in a drawer for years not being used. Maybe that should be our new challenge for the 2017....using things that have been stashed away for years...lol!

Oh my goodness Brenda can I come on an extended visit!!! Lol. This is me down to a tee. I spent several hours last night hunting down a sentiment that I knew I had (cos it said so on my blog) and found a swirly leaf die that went missing a few months ago. In the process I found a bicycle stamp I didn't remember I had but will need in May for a B/ day card and also found the replacement plates for my big shot that I put in a safe place for when I need them and promptly forgot where the safe place was . I did find the sentiment and finished the cards off this morning and have now posted off to Oz in another swap. I sent a card to Spain which Hubby was not best pleased about so had to make one for him as a replacement!! Lol. I love your card above. Those colours are such happy and spring like. Hugs Mrs A.

Oh was I laughing when reading the beginning of this post. I did the very same when I was working (except then I was into quilting!) But when started in the stamping, I also felt I had to play 'catchup' with my pals, as they were always loaning me their supplies. I'm finding loads of oldies, and I'll be doing the same thing if I can think of a way to use it! (mind you, I'm only with the stamps so far!) I love this pretty card, and think your design turned out beautifully. Who cares if the supplies are old, if the card is pretty? I sure don't! Hope you guys stay warm & can stay inside, and not have to be out if you get any of Storm Stella. Just cold here, bit of light rain earlier in the day. (See that Mrs A wants to come play. She can come visit me when she leaves your house. Maybe we can send some of this stuff back over the pond, huh?!) TFS & Hugs

You are describing what happens at MY house, Mrs. A. And even after my organization, I expect it will still happen. You can visit Brenda, then come down to my house! Glad you found some MIA while looking for another MIA! So funny.

Oh Brenda, what a pretty card you've made with your old supplies. I think we all must be the same, as I have loads of stuff bought when I first started cardmaking, some also from QVC!

Sounds like you have enough stuff to make cards for many years to come. lol I need to use some of the things I have purchased too and stop buying. Your card is lovely. I really like the colors.

If only we lived near each other--we could open our own store--haha! The old stuff looks new to people who haven't seen it! You are indeed not alone, Brenda--I bought enough stuff for 10 people while I worked full-time! The epoxy frame is really neat & I know your friend loved this card! You're inspiring me to use my old stuff--if only I could remember what you're supposed to do with some of it--haha! Congrats on being one of the SSS blog hop winners--enjoy spending your gc on NEW stuff!

Brenda, I LOVE this card *wink *wink!! You are too clever my friend and I am glad that you are digging into your stash of NBUS and clearing them out! It makes me very happy to be the recipient of this fabulous card!!

You are certainly not alone, Brenda! I mean, certainly not with those of us who have been at this for a few years now. I, too, have some of those things you mentioned and want to use them so thank you for bringing back the old and mixing it in with the new! This beautiful epoxy frame is timeless and your card and sediment brought it to life! I can see that Colleen loved it! Thank you, too, my friend for the NBUS Challenge shoutout!! Eeks, I guess I'd better be thinking about that myself as it will be here in a couple of weeks!! Love and hugs, Darnell xxoo

Such a pretty card Brenda, I never tried scrapbooking, although I have bought some papers that I liked and cut them up for covering a card. Great idea to use the old treasures, they'll probably come back into fashion again! Cathy x

OMGosh Brenda, I have this same frame! Not sure if I ever used it or not, but I do remember it!! lol Yep, bought from QVC. lol I wished they would bring back their crafty days again. You are not alone, I have tons of stuff that is old! lol But hope and intend to use it one day! I love how you used this frame on your birthday card. You are a clever gal! It has encouraged me to mix my old with my new for sure! Love this card and love how clever you are! Hugs, Brenda
