A little snafu. On the same day my Cuttlebug and Big Kick both died. How could that happen? I have had them both for as long as I can remember and different things happened to them. The Cuttlebug handle will only make two revolutions and stops. The Big Kick groans and crackles and does not want to move forward. I am so sad as I have been in a cardmaking frenzy. I have ordered a new big shot and it should come within the week. I will be fussy cutting for a while but that is so hard on my arthritic fingers. I hate that because I was really on a roll.

Here's the thing. I can't read and comment on blogs and make cards. It takes me a long time to make a card and it takes me a long time to read through the blogs I love. If I haven't commented on your blog in a while that is why. Don't give up on me. I'll catch up soon.

This is the last card that I was able to make using the big kick.  The witch die is Impression Obsession, the background was sponged with Distress ink and the sentiment is Waltzing Mouse. Black stickles was used on the sentiment bat. The little bats are a Hero Arts stamp and the purple grass is Grassland Border by Poppy stamps. They say things come in threes so I'm hoping the stabbing incident and the two deaths of cutting machines are my three. Be kind to one another.

Oh gosh, how horrible that they both died on the same day :( I hope your new machine arrives soon. I could not make cards without a die-cutting machine...I wouldn't know what to do!! I love this Halloween card!! The colors are amazing!! Love the dies you used, too!!

I'm leaving on vacation and I will catch up with you when I return!! Have a great week!! Big hugs :)

OMG Brenda, I totally feel your pain! My Big Shot died during the Papertrey SAF this July...well at the end of it. So I started using my cuttlebug and low and behold it would NOT cut either. The Sizzix people were really nice in allowing me to send back my Big Shot so they could take a look at it...They fixed it free of charge, but had to ship it to them. In the interim, I went on online an found a Big Shot with a good price and decided to buy it since my Cuttlebug was dead in the water too! Now I have backups!
Back to your card..Fun card, you pulled it all together Brenda with wonderful background and the cute witch stirring the pot!! Have a fabulous weekend!

Wonderful card Brenda, love the cut! But what a thing to happen to both your manual machines at the same time, did they plan it?! Am still giggling here about your idea of doing the shaving foam marbling in the garden 'au naturale' so to speak!

Hugs

Oh dear, on the machine catastrophe, and especially when you were on a roll! Murphy's Law at work. Hopefully the new BS will arrive fast, and you won't miss the C/B. And I am the same way with making cards, blogging, and then trying to visit. I just can't manage all of it, seems like. Your card is delightful. Wonderful sponging on the background (and yay! I have this witch die, so I will be CASEing this cutie!) Love that you used the purple grass with the orange Halloween sky. Good work! Big hugs and TFS - have a great weekend. (Oh yeah, I did the same as Colleen was saying with her machine. Sizzix is very good about repairing - and on my last go-round, with the very old BS, Mr. could see where a gear tooth had broken off, but didn't know how to get to it, or where to find a suitable part. Called to ask if they would repair, they sent instructions and parts to fix it, and now it works fine! But I had bought another one when a previous one bit the dust...and I've bought some of the old C/B's, I don't like the handle on the newer ones - anyway, found at a stamp garage sale, bought 2 extra bugs. Haven't used either one....BUT the price was good and they are handy if I need one!)

Hi Brenda, I hope your replacement machine arrives soon! I'd be lost without mine too. This is a great halloween card, love the silhouettes against the sponged background, so effective. Cathy x

Oh you're so funny, Brenda! I know what you mean about not being able to do everything--me either. I'm still catching up on commenting, but had to start making cards as I was in serious withdrawl--haha! You can do some stamping & stenciling until your machine arrives--flat can be good! Hugs, Greta

Oh, the horrors! My Cuttlebug was needing so many shims to cut anything that I bought a Big Shot. I like it so much better. It cuts beautifully. Hope you are back in business soon. lol Love your Halloween card!
