My son, daughter in law, and granddaughter took DIL's mother and I out to lunch Saturday. It was so nice and we had a great time. Then son, DIL and granddaughter and I went to the college basketball game. I'm so glad I went, it was so exciting, right down to the wire and they won.

I called my handyman and he and his brother came and removed the sofa from the sunroom Sunday. Today I called a group and they will come and get the recliner and lots of hubby's clothes. It has been hard going through drawers but I am doing it. I had taken all the pants and shorts out of the closet a year ago since he was no longer wearing them so they are in tubs in the garage. I have two weeks to get all of it together for pick up. I haven't been able to take the shirts out of the closet yet. That's the first thing I see when I open the closet door and it's hard knowing he won't wear them again. I am working up to that.

This morning I went to a Stampin' Up class. This gal used to have classes once a month but hasn't had one since a year ago September. It was so disorganized and she kept running back and forth to find things. She had no samples made so we didn't really know what we were doing. The cards were not pretty like they used to be, just kind of thrown together. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to going. Since I don't need anything I probably won't go again. I go for the fun of getting together with other stampers.

So happy for the Bronco's! They got the job done.

I made these little metal mailboxes for the grands. I picked them up at a sale and just covered them with paper. I will put candy in them for the kids and they will get a kick out of them. Hope your day is wonderful and filled with love. Be kind to one another.

Brenda, these little mailboxes are adorable!!!! And so glad to hear you had a fun time at lunch and the game!!! Sorry to hear the stamping class wasn't so great, but it was worth a try. Maybe there will be a different one with a different instructor that will be better another time. It's always fun to stamp with other people :) And great work tackling things at home. I can't imagine how hard it must be---but you are staying strong and getting things done. One step at a time. You are doing great. Hugs!

Hi Brenda! The mailboxes are adorable! What a good idea. Awwww, sorry the stampin up class wasn't a good one. I can only imagine how difficult it is cleaning out drawers and closets. Thinking of you, dear friend. Hugs, Vickie

Oh wow--the mailboxes are just darling, Brenda! I was lucky to have my sister come clean out my dad's apartment as I just couldn't do it. I still have lots of his stuff in my back room & my to do list. My heart is with you. So glad you had a nice time with family!

What adorable mailboxes Brenda! They will be so thrilled - a great idea!

Good luck with the sorting out - it's a really tough job for sure so do take little breaks and do some happy stuff in between. Mind you, I bet you could set up and run the stamping class fro some light relief - such a shame when the gal didn't seem to be organised. Running round like a headless chicken popped into my mind when I was reading your post :)

Love, Di xxx

These little treat holders are just darling, and how clever of you to spot the sale and know exactly how to use them so sweetly. Sorry about the SU class being such a disappointment. Maybe you made some good contacts that you can meet the folks later and enjoy some private stamping fun. I can imagine that this sort out process is painful. You'll know when you can face certain things, and if you can't just yet, then that is ok. Only you know what is right just now. I'm glad that you are keeping busy and having some fun with your friends & family. Hugs & TFS

What a wonderful thing for your son and DIL to do for you and DIL's mother out for the day! I love that you went to a game and enjoyed it, even better that they won. Maybe you brought some luck that day!! Brenda, you are doing better than I am with getting rid of hubby's clothing. I haven't gotten rid of anything of Dwayne's. Everything is in his drawers just like when he was here. My girlfriend is going to be coming over soon and we will go through the clothing to pick out what clothing I want her to use in the memory quilts. Then maybe I will be able to go through the rest of the close and let the boys have what they want and donate the rest. It's so hard to do this job!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you as you do this my friend. Your Target mailboxes are adorable! I bet they were a big hit with the grands. Hugs, Brenda
