I don't have a card today so you don't have to wade through this. I'll make it quick. Our Friday lady cancelled on us so no one came last Friday. She should be coming tomorrow. Our Mon, Wed. lady, Faye, is wonderful so far. She got DH to do everything she asked him and he likes her. He asked me Sat. when she was coming. The other night he told me she loves Molly. I left for an hour and a half Monday when she came and went to coffee with the neighbors and Wed. I had to take my car in for an estimate because I hit a truck backing out of the bank parking lot. The lady saw me backing up so she didn't go ahead and pull into the parking spot next to me so I didn't see her. Didn't hurt her truck and she said "nothing hurts this old truck". It made a dent about the size of a kneecap on my bumper. They are ordering the bumper and it will take two days to fix when it comes in. It's always something!
I just haven't had time or inclination to craft although there are still many new things I want to try. Bokeh has been tops on my list along with embossing paste and stencils again. I've also gotten some new background stamps that I haven't used. My cards are pretty plain so I need to branch out. I also have tons of 6x6 pattern paper that I hardly ever use and want to start. I so admire people that use PP on their cards. It always looks so pretty. I'm always afraid I'll put two together that clash even when I am using the same paper pack. I can pretty much make an NBUS card every day (http://www.djkardkreations.com/ and never run out of stuff to use. That's why I seldom enter http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/ bacause I start with new paper every time. BUT, I do have lots of scraps.
Okay, I've run on and on. I think I say so much here because DH and I don't talk a lot during the day and I talk a lot! I want to take a class about "Creating a Scene" . I see people do it but I can't get the hang of it. Be kind to one another and I'll be back soon with cards.

Sorry to hear that your Friday lady didn't turn up last week, but hopefully she'll be with you tomorrow and be as wonderful as Faye. Bad news about your car, but I hope it gets fixed soon. Get those scraps out and start playing, Brenda. Patterned paper is easy to use. If you like papers when they are put together, then that's all that counts...... and just CASE a few of the cards you see that you like. Take care. Liz xx
Ah....we all have those days and weeks where inspiration is -0....have ideas but the things of the world seem to take over. I have given myself way too many projects to even find time to play with my cards....oh well...Hospice is not meeting for 2 months...taking a break I guess. But we have to have Halloween and thanksgiving cards ready........soooooooooo......I am not ready to jump into that mode as yet. Heck summer has just started this week.
Have a good one and enjoy your fee time when the helpers come to take care of DH, you deserve some time with friends.

I'm so glad you hubby likes Faye and that she is working out well. I hope the Friday lady is just as great. There are so many techniques I want to try, too and I just never seem to be able to get around to them!! Have a wonderful day :)

So pleased that your hubby gets on with Faye and you get a break. Pity about your car though hope its not too expensive. You must use some of your scraps and join in the fun at the Playground. Now you have a little more time for yourself you can play and practise with all the techniques you want to try. Maybe I should do the same and ease my stress as well!
You needn't apologize to me, Brenda, because I'm a fellow talker. You might have noticed by my SUPERLONG blog posts compared to yours, lol!! Thank you for taking the time to give us an update. I can't tell you how happy it makes me that Faye is working out and I hope Friday works out, too, or you get someone who will. These women are saints to me because they allow you to get a break and enjoy yourself! I hope your juices start flowing soon and you make a dent in that NBUS Mountain of yours. Think of it as a truck and yourself as a car! Sorry, these things just come out of the hamster's mouth! Have a great weekend, my friend, and thank you for the shout-out!! Mwah!! Big hugs, Darnell
Wow--hubby asked when the lady was coming?! That's just wonderful! So glad you got to have coffee with the neighbors. You're not the only one who could make a NBUS card every day--LOL!
Happy to hear that you are getting some much needed help. Extra nice that your hubby likes her! Hope things get easier for you.
Brenda, what a blessing are those people who come to the home and help with our loved ones. And I am so happy that you get to do some things just for you... like coffee or lunch with friends! The juices will start flowing soon, I am sure!
Sorry to hear about the fender bender, but so, so pleased that you have gotten some care giving relief. And I'm sure any paper combination you select is going to be pretty, because I think you have a good eye for such things. (as a friend of mine says, "it's only paper". ) Now that you can think of other things, I'm sure you'll get more adventurous. And you will LOVE Pixie's snippets. Everyone is very friendly, and we all have Amish features on our cards. Big hugs & hope your day was good. TFS
Well pooh on the other lady not showing up on Friday! What is with that?!! I'm glad that hubby loves Faye though. That's a good thing. I'm so sorry about your fender bender Brenda. So easy to do. I did it at the allergy doctors. But lucky for me the other car wasn't in a parking space. So not really sure if insurance paid him or not. Of course I don't blame the guy, the allergy place just never had enough parking spaces! I bet it felt good to get out and have coffee with the neighbor! Good for you, you need this! I have a ton of NBUS stuff too Brenda. lol I'm not great in using pattern papers either and have a ton of it. I hoard, oops I mean I collect paper because it is just so pretty. lol That class sounds fun, I'm not good with scene's either. I guess since we have the same name we are a like alike. lol But I think you have a pretty good eye and you know what you like and don't like. You just keep trying to use that paper. Hugs, Brenda
