Today is tax day. I don't mind going, I hate getting it all together. I put everything that comes in in one drawer. This year I couldn't find everything I needed and had to go back and re-create. It took forever so I won't make that mistake again.

I made this card for my nephew's wife who just had back surgery. They had to replace some discs in her back. She is going to be down for six weeks and will be off work. That is so hard. I am entering this in the challenge  that is going on now. These are Stampin Up stamps and paper. I colored the vases with a blender pen and Marina Mist and Crumb Cake ink because I didn't have the Saraha Sand. I thought the blender pen would soften the color. I hope that's okay.  Be kind to one another.

Brenda. I like everything about this sweet card. Love the way you've got the sentiment ovals layered, and the pretty embossing on the background. It works perfectly with that wonderful floral image, and your coloring is great. Best of recovery to your niece. On the tax stuff, I've learned that when each piece comes in, it goes immediately into a folder labeled Tax (year)- then when it's time to go see the person, it's all in the folder. Even got the Mr. trained to put anything that is relative to taxes into the folder, and I keep it on the desk right where each of us sees it! Ours is simple these days. No deductions anymore. Hope all is going ok, and that you are ready to have a nice weekend. TFS & Hugs

What a beautiful card! I love your colouring on the vases (and of course Crumb Cake is ok!). You did a great job getting depth with the blender pen! That will always be one of my favourite tools :) I'm sure this will help bring some comfort to your nephew's wife! Thanks for sharing with us at Colour Me...! this week.

I think your card is beautiful Brenda! I love the vases, they look great. My friend has to have back surgery, not an easy surgery and not easy to stay down either. But it is what is needed. Hopefully your friend will heal well and it will be just a distant memory of being down. Hugs, Brenda
