I'm finally not in trouble anymore but I sure started the day that way! I bought a My Favorite Things die of the Eiffel Tower to make my granddaughter a birthday card with it. Also found some cute charms by 7 Gypsies with an Eiffel Tower and Paris. She is into that right now and I thought that she would love a card like that. However - since they were all coming Easter and they seem to congregate in my craft room and look to see what's new, I thought I'd better hide those new purchases so she wouldn't find them. I did an excellent job of putting them away. It is now 11 o'clock and I just now found them!! Truly, I had no idea where I put them. After going on about my body being on the downslope the other day I'm now concerned about my brain! That was scary. I knew I put them in the closet but I stood there looking and had no sense of where. It is raining and chilly here today so a perfect day to make that card before I forget what I was going to do with the die!

This card today was made just playing with gelato pens. Smeared them on and spritzed with water and stamped butterfly. This was done at the Heirloom show as a make and take. Simple. I do plan to try some more intricate things with them. I'd better leave them on my desk, just in case! Be kind to one another.

Are we twins or what? I do the same thing, and spend more time hunting for supplies sometimes than I do using them. My recent foray into putting the snippets by color into plastic boxes of same color may help (LOL). You did a super job with the gelatos & aren't they fun to play with? (I forget I have them because they're out of sight).Love the pretty blue flowers in the background, and your black b'fly was gorgeous against the blue & white. We have sunshine & warm at the moment, but tstorms are expected later this afternoon. I'm recovering from the 'blues' of having the DD here & going home, so better today. Need to handle some of the Friday house chores, then get a Black & White +1 color Christmas card made for Sunday. Never did a B&W+1 CCard before, so out of my comfort zone. Happy weekend, and thanks for the beautiful card and the smile. Nice to know I'm not the only one losing my marbles!!! :-) Hugs

hahahaha...funny. After reorganizing my stamping stuff I can't remember where I put everything!!! Today was really funny. I was trying on new glasses....the technitian was helping me....so I go to reach for my glasses (I thought were on my face) they weren't there. I said to the lady, did you see that??? Oh my goodness I had my glasses in my hands...She laughed!! Talk about losing it. Sometimes I go into the frig and can't remember what I was getting and have to close the door and think....Are we lacking something in our system or maybe the Fed. Gov. is spraying something in the air we breath to dumb us up...hahahaha

Making cards brings me back to sanity though...thank goodness!!!

Oh see, I forgot to mention about your card....I have never tried geleto pens, must look on Youtube and learn something. Yesterday I bought some watercolor stamps from www.rubberneckerstamps.com found some tutorials on them.....should be fun.

Hi Brenda, those gelatos give a lovely effect! I've not tried them, as yet anyway! I put some flower soft glue away the other month and still haven't found it! I ended up having to buy some more. I verbalize what I'm doing when I tidy now as I think it might help me to recall what I was doing. We'll see LOL! Cathy x

Great job dabbling around with the Gelatos, Brenda! This is really pretty! I'm so glad you found the product you hid so you could make your granddaughter's card. Oh, brain, why have thee foresaken me?! That's another reason I love blogging. There are so many of us going through the "sunset" years at the same time, so we can commiserate and laugh together!! Hugs, Darnell

I see so much done with these gelatos and I'm getting curious about them. lol I'm thinking the next time I see some I just might have to get a couple to try them out. I am so loving this card Brenda, it has such soothing colors on it and looks so cool! Oh and by the way, I'm always putting things away and then forgetting where I've put them! So my mind is on the down hill too. lol It drives me nuts! Hugs
