I bubbled! I was lucky enough to win a prize from Lee Murphy and it came yesterday. One of the gifts was wrapped in bubble wrap and I immediately thought of Darnell's challenge using bubble wrap. So I got out my alcohol inks and my new Lawn Fawn octopi stamp and got busy. I mixed three colors of AI on my CK glass mat and smooshed the bubble wrap in it, then put it down on white cardstock to make the background. I thought bubbles would be a good b/g for the octopus. The sentiment is stamped on a Simon Says die strip. The c/s and ink is SU. I am entering this is in http://www.djkardkreations.com/2017/01/nbus-challenge-10.html. Be kind to one another.

Cuuuute!!! Don't have an octopi stamp but maybe a snowman might work and the bubbles could be snowballs??? Must try this technique......there you go another cased card!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card Brenda and a BIG thank you for the Beauty I received in the mail!! You are so thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Great card! Love the bubble wrap stamping!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card Brenda and what a fabulous way to use the bubble wrap. I hope you had fun popping the bubbles afterwards lol!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! I'll have to try that when I can find my bubble wrap.
ReplyDeleteAwesome card Brenda, such a great technique! Cathy x
ReplyDeleteFantastic, Brenda...I ove the colors, reminds me of ocean bubbles!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card, Brenda! You've done a great job using the bubble wrap for Darnell's challenge. Super sentiment too. I got as far as making a background pattern with the inked bubble wrap, but then all inspiration for what to do with it left me. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute. The bubble wrap is a perfect choice for your background with that cute little octopus. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteFun card, great technique works really well with cute octopus xxx
ReplyDeleteI really like the bubble wrap background. The textures and colors are so cool with the octopus.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice background you got from the bubble wrap Brenda! You are a step ahead of me as I haven't done the bubble wrap thing yet and time is almost out! I still plan to try it even if I don't get it in before the deadline today. Love how yours turned out though and I love the octopus and saying. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteInspired designing with perfect supply arrival! This is so cute, and the bubbles are super cool with that little critter. The blue shades look just very seaworthy too! (Brenda L. sent me the cardinal pin.) TFS & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, this is THE perfect use for blue bubbles made with bubble wrap! Way to go, Brenda! That octopus is so adorable and makes me smile!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #10 and joining in the optional theme! (The plumbers are on their way as we speak! They came out Wednesday and ran the snake down through the vent on the roof. Didn't last long; now the front yard will be dug up, but hopefully not the driveway! At least with all the rain we've been getting, the soil isn't rock hard like it has been in the drought.) Hugs, Darnell
