Rainbow hearts

Finally got my Valentines started and it's not even February. Nothing like waiting to the last minute. I only make a few for the grands so it's not to bad. The weather has been perfect for crafting with snow and ice . It has melted now but snow is expected again today. It took winter a while to get here but now it wants to be winter all at once.

This is a simple card made with Distress Oxide Inks and a Simon Says stencil. I sponged in rainbow order with brushes and added a Stampin' Up sentiment. That's it!

Be kind to one another.

  1. What a neat stencil & beautiful card, Brenda! We actually got enough snow yesterday to cover the deck & grass. They said it wouldn't stick, but they were wrong! We loved watching the big flakes come down & make the world look peaceful for a bit. Stay safe & warm. Wish we could make Valentines together!

  2. A beautiful card Brenda, so pretty.
We only had a slight sprinkling of snow here, it either seems to be icy or muddy when we walk the dogs at the moment.

  3. Sweet card Brenda. There's something extra special about rainbow cards. Add that to the heart stenciling and it's a fantastic combination. Take care with the snow and ice, my friend. xx

  4. Oh I love your rainbow of hearts, your grand will love it, whichever one you send it to!! I haven't made any yet! We had snow yesterday afternoon and it was so pretty when it came down with big flakes, but it was gone in the morning...good thing I guess, but I was wondering, since school isn't in session, would they have given the kiddos a "snow day"? Heart Hugs, Col

  7. Lovely design and beautiful colors! This is a happy card! Hope you are well. We are the same and still staying home. Both of our kids and son-in-law have had the virus. Luckily, they all came out of it without hospitalization. Stay well!

  11. I hadn't seen this stencil and I LIKE it! So pretty inked in rainbow colors! Jack asked me last week why I was making valentines when it wasn't near Valentine's Day? Time is so different for the little ones!

  13. Your right Brenda, winter was slow in coming, but now it is here I think to stay with it's nastiness. I don't mind the snow, but it sure could keep the ice out of it! Your rainbow hears are beautiful! Loving that stencil and I love how you used it. A simple CAS design, but so effective and beautiful! Hugs, Brenda
