Another thirty days

I love staying home but knowing I'm not supposed to go out is hard. I keep in touch with my family every day and talk to my friends and neighbors too but it's not the same. I'm not motivated to do much and on top of that there was a water main break near here and we have to boil the water for 48 hours. I didn't realize how many times a day I turn on the tap. Can't run the dishwasher or washing machine. If we take showers right now or use hot water we fill up the water heater with tainted water so it would be longer until we use that water up. Thank goodness I have bottled water to drink and brush my teeth. It's actually a good thing I can't go out right now. Between cancelling my hair appointment even before they closed and not being able to wash my hair, it is better if no one sees me!
I am crafting some and catching up on movies that I don't usually watch.

I started my Easter cards and this one is very simple. The yellow paper is Lawn Fawn and the chick is cut from Alexandra Renke paper with a circle die. The sentiment is Stampin' Up and the tiny heart is Doodlebug for a pop of color. I thought this chick is so cute and perfect for Easter.

I am entering this card into https://theseinspiredchallenges.blogspot.com/ that Trina gave me a heads up about. Thank you, Trina. The challenge is Yellow Makes Me Happy.

Be kind to one another.

This really is a cute Easter card, and I love the chick with that little blue heart! I think we're all pretty much in the same boat (except for the water crisis you're dealing with) but staying home really is hard! It changes your outlook pretty quickly when you're forced to stay home all the time, but hopefully this will keep us all healthy in the long run! Take care and keep smiling :) Hopefully one day we will be looking back on these times and be able to laugh at them!

I'm designing a very pretty paper bag to put over my head for when I have to do the fortnightly shop.... can't have anyone seeing my scarecrow hair!
It's quite strange being 'in solitary confinement' as usually I am more than content with just the other half and I being on our own (apart from the Mum In Law, there's no other family) but I am finding it hard to deal with the fact that we simply can't just 'pop out for a coffee and piece of cake' like we usually do!
A really pretty Easter card Brenda. x

Brenda...hair is the least of our worries, right? I look forward to the day when we can just give hugs to those we love. I sure miss that most of all! And for my Dad too...I have been totally isolating myself except for seeing him, I blow him kisses, I make his breakfast and bring him dinner, but I keep my distance and he understands all that! I just want to keep him safe. Yikes, on top of all that we re going through, you have a water main break and now have to boil your water...of gosh, just doesn't seem right. But in spite of all that, I can tell your spirits are up and you are creating, so that is a very good thing! Your little chick is adorable! You keep on making cards and mailing them out, that can be our connection to those we can't see in person right now! Heart Hugs and much love to you! Stay safe! Col

I was lucky and got my hair cut the day before everything shut down here - however, a month from now I'll be hiding it under a cap I'm sure. LOL!
Love your sweet and pretty card. Perfect paper for the cute little chick.

Beautiful card, Brenda, I love the little sentiment! Sorry to hear about your water, I hope it gets sorted soon. It's strange how so many bloggers are finding it hard to get motivated at the moment, especially as we all have so much more free time to fill. Take care. xx

Great Easter card Brenda, such a ray of sunshine :) You're doing the right thing by keeping distance and I hope the water main is fixed soon.

It is strange, that we are not aware of things surrounding us till the time, they are taken away from us. We are all on the same boat at the moment! Stay at home (with dirty hair. :-)) and stay safe and create so preaty cards as today's one. :-) Cute chick!
Hugs, Sonja

Oh, I don't mind staying home either but just knowing I cannot go sure is a bummer for me too! I have no desire to even do much card making and even though I have done some I just did not find time to post about them yet on my blog. I am so sorry you are restricted on water use too. I hope that gets cleared up soon. We don't live in a city but even when our pipes broke here at our house it was a restriction of water use for us too. But I must say you have certainly made a darling Easter card. That chick image is so cute. And, I love the wonderful colors on your card. All I can say is "Hang in there". We will get through this too. Just stay healthy my friend.

Perfect use of that beautiful paper with the chick, Brenda! Gotta see if I have any paper I could use like that. With everything going on--now you can't use your water?! At least you can joke about better for no one to see you. Fritz & I are starting the long hair revolution!

That chick is adorable and so is that yellow plaid paper! Love that little pop of blue with the heart. I'm having to figure a completely new hairstyle. I'm so sorry about your water. That's the pits! Especially on top of everything else.

Oh, poohey, that is no fun, Brenda! I'm so sorry. I hope it's resolved and you can get your water heater refreshed soon. And I'm with you on the hair situation. Want to go pink with me? If I decide to color the gray with drugstore color, I might as well make it beciting! Although I talked to my hair lady this morning and when I told her I was going to dye my hair pink, she said she would stab me in the neck, haha!

Your Easter card is darling! That AR chick is perfect for Easter! Talk soon. Love and hugs, Darnell

I can wash my hair, but sure overdue for a haircut, which I normally get every 4 weeks...The broken water line would be the worse issue though! Stay safe in your indoor cocoon, my friend. Love your chick and CAS design. Thank you for the smile:-) Love and Hugs..Nancy

Adorable Easter card, Brenda. You’ve used the yellow colour beautifully and should enter it over at Inspired By Challenge - Yellow Makes Me Happy.
I can empathize... hope your water line issue gets resolved quickly. Sending virtual hugs.

I am so sorry to read about your water break, that is a long time to be without water and you have such a good spirit about it! You're card is so cute, love your chick against that cute plaid paper. The pop of blue with the heart is such a fun detail to the sentiment. Thank you for sharing with us over @ Inspired By this week.

Bad news about the water leak. Hope they can get something done about it soon with everything else that is going on. Not very pleasant times that we are living through right now and no visible end in sight. Love your bright and cheerful card. Brought a smile to my face. Stay safe. Hugs Mrs A.

Adorable card Brenda. Sorry to hear you had to boil water for a couple of days ... that is annoying to say the least! I think a lot of us are feeling the bad hair day blues. :) It's good that you are keeping in touch with family and friends, I'm doing that as well. But I miss the hugs! Take care! xx
